Stacking Storage Bin

Quarter sawn ash. Insired by Danish mid century chairs with round tapered legs and straight components coming together. Designed to hold firewood and to have beautiful furniture to look at year round. Danish cord wrapped panels on side panels and resawn bandsaw marks on end panels to add texture.

Spalted maple top with the tree's outter edge on the underside. Rough legs show the spokeshave tool marks. Lightly stained black ash legs.

This freeform lamp is inspired by a ship's sail changing direction in the moment = lots of movement. Lots of techniques incorporated into this single piece. I got to use a piece of found drift wood, tapered bent lamination, and lashing.
